“Ang Estofado…isang pagkaing nabaon sa limot, limot ng pagiisip ngunit hindi ng panlasa.”

It was one evening when my family were having arroz ala cubana for dinner when we discussed recipes with saging saba ( a banana variety abundant in the Philippines.) The discussion started with my wife telling our kids how we used to go to Anne’s or Frankie’s along Katipunan Ave. in Loyola Heights for lunch or dinner.
